My my, aren't you a sleek and sexy thing. The new iMac is quite simply stunning, all dressed up in anodised aluminium and glass.

As well as being seriously pretty, the specs for the new iMac aren't too shabby either; Intel dual core processors clocking up to 2.8GHz (in the 24" model), built-in wireless, built-in iSight and all the usual other gubbins.

The looks are what this machine is all about though, and for me, the best looking part of this iMac is the new slimline keyboard.

Decked out in the same anodised aluminium as the iMac, this keyboard is a work of art unto itself.

Also worth a mention is the image Apple use to demonstrate the difference in wire clutter between the iMac and Dell XPS 410.

New Apple iMac vs Dell XPS 410 - wire clutterBelow the belt? Who cares - point made

Point brilliantly made at the expense of Dell. Love it.

Right - that's enough gushing over anything Apple until Leopard rolls up.

Up to 4GB of RAM, up to 1 TB hard drive??

She’s more than just a work of art. She’s a well-oiled, eco-friendly machine.

Hey Si – new site looks fantastic mate. Love the layout.

New Apple looks pretty slick, but what’s the deal with the glass screen? Is a glass screen better or something, or is it just part of more B&O type of build quality?

Also saw your blog link in the Times/Observer, whichever one it was…. Awesome. You’re gonna have to start paying for your holidays with banner adds for “Cartridge Monkey” & the like…!!!

Cheers Tom. Yep – here’s hoping for the day when ads will bring in the big bucks ;-)

Not to understate it’s beauty but I’m not quite so sure whether I prefer the look of the new iMac to the old white one. The pure simplicity of the last one seems to have been compromised just a little. You just gotta LOVE that Dell jab though – awesome! :D

By the way Simon, I’m seconding Tom – really great new design mate. The black on white mixed with subtle colours works great, as does the use of the thick horizontal lines. I’m quite jealous! ;)
